Ethiopia has a population of 90 million and strong historic ties with Italy. One match will be broadcast each week as part of a three-hour live TV programme, with highlights and post-match interviews. Each programme will feature a 30-second spot on Italian-Ethiopian partnership activities. The agreement was signed at EBC headquarters by TVN CEO Rino Moffa and EBC Deputy Director General Abraham Gebremedhin. Jean Claude Mbede Fouda and Giulia Giacomuzzi of the Italian Embassy were present. The deal will promote the Italian championship in a country which has vibrant economic growth. It will be the only foreign championships broadcast live on Ethiopian public TV. (AGI)
