Rome - ExpoPhoto 2015 aims to improve relations between Italy and China by using artistic photography as a starting point, stimulus and area of open dialogue.

This project is the work of Claudio Brufola, a photographer who has worked for years in Beijing and who on Thursday opened the exhibition "Beautiful China" at Palazzo Brancaccio. The photo gallery is showing 35 works by some of the best Chinese photographers from the Chinese Photography Association (CPA).
Sun Xiuhua, Mo Dingyou and Huang Zhe are just some of the photographers of the collective that narrates everyday life in the country. "In a world like that of today we want to emphasise the essential and most beautiful values of life: beauty, friendship, dialogue," said Brufola. This thought fully reflects the slogan of the exhibition: "Dreaming of a better, more beautiful life". This extraordinary event will "show modern China to the world," stressed the president of the CPA, Wang Yao, who believes that "a good photograph is not just a matter of technology, but of how many emotions are transmitted to the viewer". The exhibition, now moving between China and Italy, will be in Milan from Aug. 1 to 7 at the headquarters of CNA Milan - Monza Brianza. It has just one aim: to represent a cultural bridge and "to make China known in Italy and our country in China". Indeed, the exhibition will continue in China in Hangzhou and Lingshui with an exhibition of photographs by more than 50 Italian photographers. Brufola continued: "The image is a universal language that transcends all cultural barriers and needs no further explanation. The visual impact is better than many words and eliminates linguistic obstacles". (AGI)
