"Energy - 29 km southwest" will be staged by The Synergy of Art group during the August full moon on Aug. 29, when archaeological sites remain open at night. The temple is 29 km south-west from the Acropolis of Athens. The performance will unfold along the three sides of the temple: the eastern, southern and western.
The audience will follow the action with special lighting and volunteers who will guide them around the temple. Synergy of Art was established in 2001 by Silvia Macchi to explore human movement and other forms of classical and modern education.
Today, at a time of crisis in the history of Greece and also of the world in general, the show aims to awaken forgotten memories closely linked to values that also existed in ancient civilisations. For this reason it is set in locations of archaeological and historical interest. It is sponsored by the Greek Ministry of Culture, with the support of the Superintendency of Archaeological Heritage of West Attica, Piraeus and the Islands and of the Italian Culture Institute in Athens.
