The visit of the Kazah president, from Aug. 31 to Sept. 3, triggered a meeting of the seventh Chinese Cooperation Committee on Tuesday in Beijing, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev and the Deputy PM of China, Zhang Gaoli. Among the projects the dignitaries focused on were the Kazakh economic policy strategy launched by Nazarbayev, 'Nurly Zhol', and the Chinese initiative on the Silk Road, 'One Belt, One Road'. Both projects aim to enhance energy, agriculture, science and research, transportation and water resources. Sagintayev has also invited Chinese businesses to participate actively at the internationally promoted Expo 2017, which will take place in Astana. (AGI)
