Milan - The Triptych with Madonna and Saints by Antonello da Messina has been recomposed after 400 years apart. The work will be shown at the Bagatti Valsecchi museum in Milan, transformed for the occasion in the Renaissance Pavilion as part of the Fine Arts plan for Milan Expo, assigned by Lombardy Region to art critic Vittorio Sgarbi.

"Renaissance - The Triptych by Antonello da Messina recomposed" went on display on Wednesday afternoon. Along with the triptych, to embellish the show, are a Madonna by Vincenzo Foppa, an Annunciation by Piero della Francesca and a Pieta by Perugino.
"This initiative is part of our Fine Arts plan for Expo, which we have entrusted to Professor Sgarbi, and into which we have put great effort and many resources, because Expo is a great opportunity to enhance the historical and artistic heritage of Lombardy, which is second to none," said President of Lombardy Roberto Maroni.
