Rome  - Angola's president, Eduardo Dos Santos, will be in Rome next Monday and Tuesday for a series of meetings with businesses and institutions in order to strengthen relations between Italy and the African nation.

Dos Santos will arrive in the Italian capital on Saturday, accompanied by foreign minister Georges Chikoti, and will meet with Italy's President Sergio Mattarella on Monday morning, followed by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi in the afternoon. Dos Santos and Chikoti will then proceed to the Italian foreign ministry to sign a number of economic agreements. Dos Santos will dedicate Tuesday to business ties with Italy, and will meet various businessmen including Eni's CEO Claudio Descalzi, the CEO and GM of Finmeccanica Mauro Moretti, Sace's CEO Alessandro Castellano, and Luigi Cremonini. Dos Santos and Renzi met in Luanda in July 2014 and both had expressed satisfaction with bilateral ties between their two counties.
Dos Santos in particular had urged Italian businesses to invest more in Angola, while Renzi invited Dos Santos to visit Italy.
Angola is participating in the Expo in Milan with a massive pavilion more than 2000 square metres in extent, dedicated to nutrition and culture. (AGI)
