Ankara (Turkey) - At a funeral in Istanbul on Sunday for some of the victims of Turkey’s failed coup which was attended by President Tayyip Erdogan some of the mourners chanted “we want the death penalty.”

Ankara (Turkey) - The Turkish military has released a statement saying they have taken control of the country in the name of democratic order, although the government said that the coup has been organised by a minority group.
Nice (France) – Speaking in Nice, after at least 84 people were killed after an attacker drove a truck through a crowd celebrating Bastille Day, French President Francois Hollande said: “We are facing a very long battle.”
