Rome - The eurozone and the Italian economies grew more rapidly than previously estimated in the three months to June. According to the European statistics agency Eurostat, the gross domestic product of the eurozone's 19 members increased by 0.4 percent in the second quarter over the first, as against the previous estimate of 0.3.
Venice - "Sangue del mio sangue" by Marco Bellocchio was the third and most eagerly-awaited Italian film to be screened at the Venice Film Festival on Tuesday, and it was saluted with applause by the press. Rome - India's right to try two Italian marines accused of killing two Indian fishermen was suspended by the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea. The marines, Salvatore Girone and Massimiliano Latorre, will not however be freed by the tribunal's decision, which was agreed by a majority of 15 to 6.
