The National Tsunami Warning Center stated there was no tsunami warning or advisory.
It was centred about 165km in the Pacific Ocean west of Ferndale, at a depth of around 10km. The mayor of the town, with a population of 1,300, said that he had not heard of any damage from the tremors, adding ‘it wasn’t that bad at all.’
