Many women in the US have expressed concerns that their rights will be eroded under the new administration and one day after Donald Trump took office, millions of people around the world took to the streets.
Women’s marches drew massive crowds in 60 countries. The organisers said there were over five million participants around the world and more than one million in Washington DC.
The marches were not just a protest against Trump, but intended to send a strong message to the new government and also to the world that women’s rights are human rights. (Euronews)
