Osaka - Taro Kimura's art history course in Osaka will be focusing on Caravaggio. Lessons will be devoted the grandmaster's two paintings of John the Baptist, from the Museo Capitolino and the Galleria Borghese.

Both works depict a boy with a lamb, which might appear trivial, yet intriguing questions remain about the identity of the youth and the location. The Caravaggio course, which will run until Saturday, has been organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of Osaka.
Another, broader course is also to cover the great Renaissance works of Michelangelo, Leonardo and Raffaello.(AGI)
