Rome - Italian World Champion diver Tania Cagnotto will receive the "Valore Expo 2015" special award on Thursday at the Expo's Media Centre. The prize, a 150mm-wide version of the "Grandi Dimensioni per istituzioni" prize, was designed by artist Ugo Nespolo and made by Museo del Tempo (The Time Museum), the Exclusive Licensee for Expo 2015, in collaboration with FMR Utet Grandi Opere.

The award is a recognition of the Italian athlete's success on a national and international level. Cagnotto, the organisers said in a statement, "stands as a constant example and symbol of dedication and effort, achievement of high goals, and healthy energy towards the values shared by Made in Italy". The president of the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) seat in Lombardy, Oreste Perri, will bestow the award on behalf of CONI President Giovanni Malago'. The ceremony will be attended by numerous representatives of the sports world, including Ruggero Alcanterini, the chairman of the Italian Fair Play Committee, and Sandro Sassoli, the head of the Expo 2015 official coin and medal program. The official Expo coinage, created by the same designers of the euro and minted with recycled metals in an ecosustainable manner, are available in the OVS store at the Expo. The coinage also received the patronage of CONI and the Italian government's office for sport. A portion of the coinage sales will be given to World Food Programme-Italy as part of its efforts in food education. (AGI).
