The exhibition, which runs until Sept. 17, is organised by the Italian Cultural Institute, Cineteca di Bologna and TIFF Cinematheque. It includes 22 of De Sica's best known films, including "Ieri, oggi e domani", "L'oro di Napoli", "Matrimonio all'italiana", "Miracolo a Milano", "I bambini ci guardano", "Il tetto", "Umberto D." and "Il boom". Also showing is "Ladri di biciclette" ("Bicycle Thieves"), which won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film. He received the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his part as Major Rinaldi in American director Charles Vidor's 1957 adaptation of Ernest Hemingway's "A Farewell to Arms". (AGI)
