IFFCO Italia Srl signed a provisional business rental contract for the company, which is based in Marcianise near Caserta, southern Italy, in December, guaranteeing the jobs of 107 workers as set out in the industrial plan. The plan also includes investment over the next two years. The company, headed by IFFCO Group, a market leader in the food industry in the UAE, was founded in 1975 and based in Dubai. It is a firm with 26 different product categories and 57 sites ,offices, factories and warehouses, around the world. IFFCO produces six million tons of food a year and has more than 12,000 employees.
  The business rental contract with CO.DA.P was signed with receivers Massimo Di Pietro and Livio Persico, after successful trade union consultations. Bankruptcy judge of the court of Naples, Angelo Del Franco, on July 3 assigned the Codap business unit to IFFCO Italia. IFFCO Italia intends to boost production lines, commercial activites, marketing and research and development. It will be the company's first European production site. (AGI)
