Until Expo closes, the stone slabs, varying between 3.5 and 7 metres in height, will be placed on a porphyry base just like in the land of their geological origin. At sunset, visitors will have the chance to experience the spectacle of Dolomite colours, illuminating Piazzetta Trentino. Indeed, the Dolomite walls will be used as a natural screen for a succession of images of landscapes, people and the Trentino tradition. The universal language of images will thus narrate the Trentino region, a land at the heart of the Alps, and the connecting bridge between Southern and Northern Europe. The inauguration began at 6 p.m. local time, signalling the beginning of a journey into the biodiversity of Trentino, seeking to literally bring out the "spirit" enclosed in the material. Indeed, the aim of the installation is to allow people who do not live in the region or simply are not in direct contact with these places to experience the excitement that they can arouse. (AGI)
