Florence Uffizi Galleries on Instagram, Twitter

Florence (Italy) - The Uffizi Galleries will launch official @uffizigalleries Instagram and Twitter accounts at the weekend, museum officials said Friday.

Italy's Ferragosto August 15 national holiday this year falls on a Monday, the Uffizi's closing day, but Director Eike Schmidt has decided to keep the galleries open anyway. (Ansa)
