Ascoli Piceno, (Italy) - Earthquake survivors and eyewitnesses reported scenes of devastation from the towns worst affected by Wednesday morning's 6.0 magnitude quake in central Italy in which at least 21 people are known to have died.

It is a measure that has not been seen since the end of the Cold War. People in Germany are set to be told to stockpile food and water, in case there is an attack or catastrophe in the country.
